Lawrence Edward Page is a computer scientist and an internet entrepreneur. He is best known as one of the co-founders of Google alongside Sergey Brin. Larry is also one of the wealthiest people in the world with a net worth of around $65.6billion as of 2020. Here is how he made his billions.

In August 1996 at Stanford University, Larry Page met Sergey Brin, one of the co-founder of google. The two paired and came up with PageRank, which automatically ranked websites according to their page links. In the end, it became the search engine now named Google, which represents the amount of data on the web.
In 1998, the two launched Google Inc in a garage in Menlo Park, California. One year later, they moved to Mountain view, still in California and worked in the Googleplex buildings. In the first six years of Google, it became the fastest growing company with more than 17 million search runs in a single day. Google was then listed among the top 100 search engines in 1998.
By 2000, Google had reigned and become the top internet Search Engine tool. In 2001, Larry Page became the president of products after serving as the CEO. He then resumed his CEO position in 2011 before resigning again in December 2019.
In order to make google profitable, it needed Eric Schmidt, an American Businessman and software engineer to become its CEO. From 2001 when Eric Schmidt took over as CEO from Larry, Google produced email, advertising, translation, academic searching and map services.
In 2002, Google signed a contract with AOL to help reign the internet. In the year 2005, Google went on to introduce a popular operating system for phones known as Android and then purchased YouTube for around $1.7 billion in 2006.
Before 2010, Google was made available in 130 languages with more than 23,000 employees and offices globally. Later in 2011, Larry Page unrolled the Chromebook and in 2013 he unleashed a Google company known as Calico which used biotechnology to improve human health.
Larry Page talked about Google X in 2014, now called X, used in flying vehicles. Following the Sept 20,2017 Hurricane aftermath Puerto Rico Google deployed airborne WIFI and later free WIFI to serve the people.
